Private Alexander Christie Aris, Army Veterinary Corps, Wessel Deal Vet. Hospital born Nottinghamshire.
Private Frederick Edward Robinson, son of Robert and Mary Robinson
Private George Sidney Neville, died 6 May 1941. Born Sheffield in 1913.
Sgt. Peter Henry of 2nd Battalion (P.W.O.) West Yorks. Regiment - having served for 16 years. He had served in Egypt, India & Gibraltar and before his death he had only recently returned from the West Coast of Africa. Buried with Military Honours (which included a Firing Party).
Sgt. Arthur Cecil Noyce, from Westgate, Kent. Joined 1st Battalion Durham Light Infantry in 1886 - accidentally killed by being shot whilst marking at the targets at Strensall Camp. Buried with Military Honours. (He had been active in the Wesleyan Methodist movement).
Private James Jolliffe, died aged 21. (Any information on Private Jolliffe would be gratefully received).
Jane Mary Scott-Moncrieff, OBE "The Soldiers' Friend". Died at Strensall on 22nd March 1933, a few days before her 80th birthday.
Jane Mary Scott-Moncrieff, originator of canteens at railway stations; ran the Soldiers' Hostel & Institute at Strensall & devoted her life to the welfare of the troops. Was awarded the OBE for her work.
